Night puts on her glittered gown,
To her pale body, beauty clings
And around her neck the moonstone sings
While silence falls upon the town.
She is the belle of every ball,
The birds stop singing when she's near,
Even the sun holds her so dear
For Night's the fairest of them all.
No dawn can make Night's beauty fade,
She brings peace to the hearts that yearn,
And after each sunset she'll return
With stars shimmering in her black braid.
