Let us just begin with our belief that we deserve easy air flow and the capability to serve the body in any situation.
We are feeling hopeful that you may begin to see clearly how your choices influence our modus operandi. This is a situation where mindfulness is required. We’d like to believe that with your desire for better functioning, comes a willingness to shift some old mindsets and habits that will lead to living your best life.
To understand our biology may increase awareness of patterns not easily seen. There are two of us that manage your inspiration of oxygen and expiration of carbon dioxide throughout a delicate respiratory system. While we are in charge of the conduction of air, distributing it and the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide, our center is controlled by the respiratory center at the base of the brain.
Metaphorically, the lungs represent purification. Consider the relationship between what you believe and how we function. We want to be doing our operations well.
What might prevent our easy breathing? Realize that those shallow inhalations compromise the process of distribution. All right, maybe you are congested due to a cold or a breathing disorder. That definitely shrinks those air passages creating havoc within. Were you under undue stress at work or in relationship? Are you running tired? Someone or some situation triggered an anxiety attack? Bring some attention to your environment. Choosing to separate yourself from smoke and other toxins may take some time; yet something in your body is seeking relief and ease. Recurrent colds and viruses find vulnerable pathways. Perhaps you’ll create a separation or a retreat. How are you supporting your immune system? Exploring your genetics may provide you with clues. Would you consider cleansing or detoxing as options? Allergies can be aggravating, however we wish for you to know that there is an insider’s message; begin noticing those little annoyances that can steal your joy.
Would you be willing to observe what is riding on your “in” breath? In other words, what misinformation are you inhaling as accurate? Are you breathing in some negative, fearful emotion or memory that alarms your body that you aren’t safe?
Even some prejudice, memory or pain could be compromising my system. How might you expel this heaviness on an exhalation? Just imagine, you could be creating a breathing room for pleasure.
One more thing, when there’s some loneliness in your spirit or heaviness in your heart, I know the constriction. When we sense fear, we feel stymied. Something stuck deep within is wanting release. You may notice a nagging cough.
There’s a desire within us to serve the body well. When these lungs of mine are viewed as valuable, we want to shout for joy. Were we to collaborate with our other organs, wouldn’t we be able to dismiss dis.ease? Engagement with ease is an empowering intention which will require the assistance of kindred spirits.
