Recently Lindsay posted a picture of an iceberg with the words “Who I am” underneath.
As I am typing my reply, my 9 year-old granddaughter peeks over my shoulder and declares: “Who am I? I am a strong little woman with feelings. Strong is lioness and feelings is dolphin”. Then she starts to giggle. I smile with her, in my heart loving her self-awareness and joyfulness. The next moment she is back to practicing her clarinet. Her eyes are closed and her forehead furrowed in deep concentration as she tries to play Jingle Bells by heart.
A blog starts to form in my mind. “Who am I?” It is a question that I have answered in many different ways over the years, usually in the past identifying with the roles of the moment. I am her daughter. I am his wife. I am her mother. I am her grandmother. I am a student. I am the art therapist. I am a blogger. Now I feel that although those descriptions are part of me, they are only part of the story.
So I dig deeper. What is at the core of my Essence?
For today my answer is: “I am Radiant Expression of Divine Love”.
