Women+Film, Denver, has been around for years and has wonderful reputation. Wouldn't it be great if we could find a way to work with them to share what they've put together?

Right now, for those of us who don't live near Denver, we can note the films for later finding. What I'm thinking is that my local theaters play performances from London Theatres & NYC Opera performances, either live or when coordinated specially for internet distribution to theaters. Also, Manhattan Shorts Festival plays its films on the same day in theaters around the world, allowing everyone to vote in assigning awards. So this Denver festival organizers have done the collecting and reviewing of films, how can we expand the value they've created?
As I have a relationship with our local arts theatre owner & also live in Colorado (there is a statewide film industry organization), I commit to putting the 2 women in touch to see what can be created.
Remember to search the internet for the many women oriented film festivals (either by or for women) look to see whether they'll be playing near you or a city where you'd like to travel to. Invite your friends and/or BraveHeart sisters to join you.
You can start by asking your local theatre or festival to show more women's films and share the names of films you see scheduled to show at other festivals. Some festival organizers are more welcoming of suggestions than others. If you want to start your own film festival, I personally know 2 great consultants & I'm happy to share their contact info.
