Kathy just joined our community....As soon as I read her post in the discussion forum, I fell in LOVE with her energy...

Here is what she said:

"Hi, I'm Kathy. I live in Oregon and I look forward to finding ever more reasons to be joyful.

In a very few days I'll be celebrating my 87th birthday. Why am I telling you this? I want you to know that the presence of this inspiring group of richly empowered women (and my freedom to be a member) is as welcome a birthday gift as any I can imagine. It is of course a vision that my mother and grandmother, along with millions of women before them, would not even have dared raise to the level of a pipe dream. How blessed we are to be on this beautiful earth NOW.

When I observe myself in a mirror, it is obvious that there are plenty of wrinkles to confirm my chronological age. What I do NOT find, and intend never to find, is a "wrinkled" outlook on Life! BraveHeart Women help one another avoid such an outlook as we support one another with courage, love, generosity of spirit, peace, and wisdom. As we do this, we can expect to see these qualities expanding all around us.
So . . . let's go for it with enthusiasm, "kids"! Each one of us is wonder-full!"

	I loved the attitude at 87. I just attended a funeral of a 97 year old man. He had the same spirit and even told "Ole and Sven" and "Ole and Lena" jokes. My grandmother lived to be 97 years old. As a young married woman in the early 1900's, her husband was gone for long periods of time at sea. In those days women did not go out unescorted at night. So, she dressed up as a man and strolled around town. She had a pioneering spirit and the wonderful idea of going against the conventions of the time.


	I want to thank each one of you who responded with such warmth and welcoming love to my post. This has been an overwheming experience for me, one which was totally unexpected even though I DO know what a wonderful group this is! Namaste all, Kathy

	No emotional wrinkles! What a GREAT concept! Kathy, that's beautiful! So many "guru's" talk about our chronological age and our emotional age, etc - but I don't think it's ever sounded so true as coming from someone such as you, Kathy! Ellie - thank you for bringing this to our attention. With so many new members its tough to keep up on all of these great posts! I feel empowered every time I am on this site! NRG to all! -Tanya


	Ellie, I too love Kathy's attitude. I know something of what it takes to be in love with life without a "wrinkled" perspective. I'm 71, and though I have to take extra care of my body as I get older, Life just seems more magical and miraculous. Chickee $;\$
