While attending my weekly case conference with a few colleagues this morning, I was impressed by a quote read today. I felt moved to share it with you in order to encourage you to live from your place of wealth and abundance.

The following passage comes from the book "The Wise Heart" by Jack Kornfield.

Abundance and Fulfillment

"The Indian sage Nisargatta, another one of my teachers, challenged his students, saying, "The problem with you is not that you have desires, but that you desire so little. Why not desire it all? Why not want complete fulfillment, joy, and freedom?" Nisargadatta did not mean boundless greed. He spoke from the state of consciousness that knows it is not separate from the world....

The author goes on to say...

"We already contain all that we desire. With this realization, we can undertake all things with a sense of abundance. Our inner abundance radiates a sense of worth, value, and ease, of having something to give to the world and enjoying doing so. Without abundance, we can be in the midst of riches and feel like a hungry ghost."

I'm sure you've noticed that our world seems a little out of control right now and with it comes the creation of internal confusion, chaos, fear, worry and doubt. When we get caught up in the whirlwind of life, we often forget the riches and abundance we already have. Remember and KNOW this, you were created by God complete, whole and filled with abundance.

The term abundance means an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply. Abundance is first internal then external. Living from your place of abundance means operating in your personal truth, values and priorities. It means living with purpose and meaning. It means learning to fill yourself up so that you can give richly from your overflow.

When you live from our place of abundance, the cycle of wealth and prosperity rises. This reminds me of the scripture, "Give and it shall be given, good measure, pressed down and shaken together" (Luke 6:38). Living and giving from your abundance assures that what you invest in can create a harvest that will satisfy you and those around you.

So, my question to you is...Are you living from your place of abundance? If not, what are you willing to do to change that?

Steps to Living From Your Abundance

Although there are several ways to living abundantly, I only want to suggest a few things:

First, take a few moments sometime today and identify what is missing from your life. Take responsibility for the fact that you may have created or allowed this to take place in your life.

Second, forgive yourself for allowing this to happen.

Third, make a decision and a commitment to change it now.

Fourth, breathe and remember your personal truths, values, and priorities. Then, identify your goals and the necessary steps to fulfill what is missing from your life.

Fifth, find a mastermind or accountability group to help you successfully accomplish your goals.

And finally,

Stay focused, stay strong.

Live In and From Your Wealth and Abundance.
